available for pre-release in November
The cover for our upcoming book is done! Hope & Languish: Poems will be available for paperback and ebook this fall.
Whose shoes are those?
They belong to author Chenelle Bremont, who wrote a book poetry about the first year of the pandemic as told from her beachside studio apartment in Santa Monica. The beach was a place of hope during a period of pandemic isolation and riots. As for the title, if you want to learn more about “languish,” just read the New York Times article “There’s a Name for the Blah You’re Feeling: It’s Called Languishing.”
Cover Design Tips
In preparation for the cover release today, I blogged about Book Cover Design: Evolution of a Cover. In the article, I walk through how I designed the cover of my last book and the changes that I made over time.
