Book Cover Reveal!
We are in the process of rebranding Chenelle Bremont’s poetry book! The new cover will be available after June 1. Although we both adored the last cover, this new design was created “to market.” That means we looked at poetry books currently on the market and created a design to clearly convey the poetry genre.
We also renamed the book. The new title is The Year We Stopped, giving potential readers a clue as to what the book is about – the first year of the pandemic. And finally, with two more poetry books on the horizon, we are thinking forward to the creation of a box set where all three covers will have a similar style. More on the second book soon, we are close to having that cover design finished as well!
Status of Books Submitted to Me
I participated in a Twitter pitch fest last month called MoodPitch where authors create a visual collage to represent their books. Agents and editors then scan through the postings, filtering them by hashtags. I hearted several pitches and enjoyed reading everyone’s creative stories during the virtual festival. I am slowly working my way through my submissions inbox and appreciate the patience of the authors who have submitted to me.
What’s Happening in May
-Editing four books in progress
-Releasing the rebrand of Hope and Languish as a second edition
-Reading books submitted to me
-Experimenting with advertisements
-Keeping up with the kiddos and family life
-(Maybe?) reading some books for fun that I have on my Goodreads list
That’s all for now.
